Here's a picture of my back yard. No where near as lush as Terry's beautiful spring green lawn!
I'm going to be spending this first day of 2008 around the house, doing some work and having some fun. I just wanted to send wishes to all my friends for a happy and healthy new year. And now I have to run because the Michigan game (Capital One Bowl) will be starting in just a few minutes. GO BLUE! (I know it's not likely they'll win but I love to watch them play just the same!)
Jasia, I miss snow so much (after living on the Cumberland Plateau for more than a decade) that I'll gladly trade you some of this green stuff for some of your white stuff! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! And may your team win!
TERRY
Snow! A beautiful picture :) We're due snow at the end of the week, but I bet we won't get much.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Jasia,
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought all the snow in the Detroit area missed us here in Southwest Michigan! It must be going backwards today because we are getting a heavy storm right now. Just the other day I was outside without a coat. Michigan weather for sure!

Last night about 9 p.m. I lost the satellite signal for my tv. Took me a while to figure out it was due to the snow on the dish! LOL. Cleaned off the dish and got the tele working just in time to watch the "ball" drop in Times Square. It's still snowing pretty good down here in Northern Indiana - probably about 8 inches so far. Your team still has a chance - near end of first half and they are tied 14 all.
ReplyDeleteWe got a few flakes last night. The only reason I know is because I saw a few on the leaves in my yard. However, unless they've changed the forecast (which does change around here about every few hours -- or so it sometimes seems), they are calling for some later this afternoon and tonight. I would love to have as much as you have, but it will probably not be more than a dusting to a couple of inches. Still - I'm dreaming of a White New Year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! I think your back yard looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAll is brown in Arizona. Ick.
But I did get all the decorations down and the house back to "normal". The dog is very happy about that!
Still no snow (or water) here, and my bones still ache...;-)
ReplyDeleteHAPPY NEW YEAR, JASIA!
